Transcripts

I probably should have put this together earlier, but I didn’t realize how many lecture series I would actually be able to transcribe. Anyways, so here it is: an index of all of the transcripts I’m putting up inshaAllah.

Some notes on the transcripts:

1. They are not notes.

2. I do not add my own words unless they are in [square brackets].

3. The hadith and ayaat are not cited by the speaker (in most cases), so I look them up using hadith search and Qur’an searches (in my blogroll). The ahaadith have some variations in wording (which would be expected, the ahaadith are in arabic and also there are often multiple narrations of the same hadith ), so I choose the hadith with that is closest to the one the shaykh is saying. The ahaadith and ayaat are cited within (brackets).

4. I leave out some content as per my dear hubby’s requests :) (mostly because they aren’t “politically correct”.)

5. I cut out some sentences because they are redundant :)

6. I change the sentences for grammatical correctness.

The Hereafter Series, Volumes 1 and 2 (complete)

It includes Death, the Grave, signs of the Day of Judgment, the Day of Judgment, Hell (naar) and Heaven (Jannah)

Lives of the Prophets (ongoing…)

Which will InshaAllah include all of the Prophets mentioned in the Qur’an in Sunnah (if I manage to complete the series…)

As salaamo alaikum

What can I say! First of all, I have listened to the Anwar Aw-Lakhi lecture on hereafter and it completely changed my life around. Although I used to pray 5 times etc, my deen had no ’soul’ just a routine till I heard his lecture.

Secondly, what a life saver you are! I just started to check the net to see if there was any transcript of his Tour of Jannah lecture, and alhumdullillah, I was guided to this site within minutes. I am giving a short lecture at the local masajid on Jannah on Thursday and thought I would use Anwar Aw-Lakhis lecture as my source.

And of course, I cannot imagine how long this has taken you and the pains and sacrifice you put in, but all I know the ajjar (reward) you will receive for this, inshallah will be immense. I too have contemplated writing his jannah lecture from start to end but it seems someone has beaten me to it :)

May Allah reward you and your husband, for it must have taken a patient man to look after the family whilst his wife did this amazing piece of work. All I ask is you both remember the Ummah in your duas.

Please forgive me for my long message.

Ma salaam

wa ‘alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullah

jazakAllah khayr for the kind words, though I ask Allah to make me better than what you or anyone else thinks, forgive me my (many!) sins that people don’t know of and not hold me accountable for what you’ve said.

Yes, mashaAllah my husband is a very patient man! And a note on the transcripts – I do not know Arabic, so be careful especially with the Arabic words!
